Career Oppertunities: Title: Director of Information Services Skills: Director of Information technology (AS/400 .net a must ) JD Edwards a plus) Location: Morristown, NJ Area code: 973 Tax term: FULLTIME Pay rate: 150,000 Length: permanent Job description:(MUST HAVE AS/400 AND .net EXPERIENCE) Plans, administers and controls the software development activities. Is responsible for providing professional support for feasibility studies, systems analysis, programming and implementation of all applications supporting a major corporation. Interprets and applies company policies and objectives across all data processing activities. Position currently has six direct reports and has overall responsibility for a 24 person IBM and Microsoft Application Development staffs. The general duties of the position would include: . Provide management and direction to the Application Development Managers . Handle the administrative and personnel duties within the areas managed . Establish and enforce department policies and standards within the areas managed . Work closely with VP to forecast installation needs assessments including budgeting and staffing levels within the areas managed . Evaluate new technologies and assess applicability to company objectives . Develop and maintain highly technical staffs. . Provide annual reviews for direct reports . Executive liaison between Development staff and executive management . Work closely with internal and outside auditors to insure policies and procedures are maintained as well as the adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Practices. . Insure data and installation security measures are in place and enforced Education and/or Experience: Bachelor*s degree in computer science or equivalent experience is required. At least 10 years professional experience with the most recent three in a senior management position. A proven track record of successful installation management, staff development and career stability. Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills. Will be required to make frequent technology presentations to executive management as well as participate in meetings regarding technical issues. College level math is required. Position will be responsible for financial forecasting and budgeting for the installation Must be well organized and able to balance several priority tasks concurrently. Professional Skills: Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project. A strong background in I-Series and .NET programming is a desired qualification.
