Career Oppertunities: Title: Server Engineer Skills: Valid MCSE or Technical certification, 5+ years exp in Infrastructure/Server Operations Location: Melville, NY Area code: 631 Tax term: FULLTIME Pay rate: Open Length: permanent Job description:Individual will function as a team member within the IT Technical Services Group responsible for maintaining the global corporate server infrastructure. Responsibilities: ** Design, configure and coordinate the installation of servers. ** Monitor server infrastructure and components for performance and maintain server environment according to industry best practices. ** Follow established procedures for back-up and recovery including business continuity. ** Maintain records including statistical reports, inventories and technical documentation. ** Resolve routine operating problems and coordinate the resolution of more complex issues including Interfacing with applications analysts and helpdesk personal as required. ** Work with IT management to ensure proper change control procedures for the production environment. ** Install new or enhanced applications and/or hardware. ** Manage and maintain High Availability and Disaster Recovery of all Production Systems. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Seasoned veteran with 5+ years experience in Infrastructure/Server Operations required. Experience designing and implementing Microsoft solutions in large scale Enterprise environments. n-depth knowledge and understanding supported by hands-on experience with Microsoft Server Active Directory and other MS BackOffice software products. Strong knowledge of Windows DNS/DHCP. Experience designing High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions including Microsoft Clustering. Experience with MS SQL, SMS, WSUS, MOM, IIS, Sharepoint Hardware experience including servers, NAS and SAN. Current MCSE required. Bachelors degree or Technical Certification preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
